INDIEWORKS BEST FILM AWARD GOES TO THE SHALLOW END

The Shallow End took the top prize at New York City-based IndieWorks in November 2019. The short film won the Silver Whiskers Award and will compete for the Golden Whiskers Award in the Best of Fest in April 2020, sponsored by CongestedCat Productions.

Trevor Brooks plays the supporting role of Brendan in this comedy-drama film about a group of teenage girls who jockey for power in the savage summer world of a community swimming pool in 1984. Trevor's character is the object of attention from one of the girls.

The Shallow End was directed by Cynthia Silver. The film was written by Wendy MacLeod, who adapted it from her 1992 play of the same name.
